AK Parti Vice Chairman Zafer Sırakaya commemorates and honours the Turkish citizens murdered by the NSU terrorist organisation.

AK Parti Vice Chairman Zafer Sırakaya stated:

“We commemorate with our citizens who were murdered by the racist terrorist organisation NSU in Germany, and we reaffirm our determination in the fight against racism.”

In a post shared on his social media accounts, Sırakaya emphasised that the murders committed by the National Socialist Underground (NSU) organisation revealed to the entire world the dark and savage face of the deep-rooted racist structure in Germany.

Commemorating the 22-year-old police officer Michele Kiesewetter, who lost her life in an armed attack carried out by NSU terrorists on April 25th, 2007, in Heilbronn while she was in a patrol vehicle, Sırakaya stated the following:

“Racism and Islamophobia are organised crimes targeting the essence of humanity. Those who politically rely on such toxic ideologies, populist rhetoric, and actions, or who turn a blind eye to them, are just as responsible as the perpetrators themselves.

We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that this language of hatred is eradicated and to foster a dialogue in which the common conscience of humanity prevails worldwide.

We commemorate with our citizens who were murdered by the racist NSU terrorist organisation in Germany, and we reaffirm our unwavering determination in the fight against racism.”
