“We bear out titles and positions for the vision of a greater Turkiye”
Speaking at the congress, AK Party Vice Chairman and Head of Foreign Affairs Zafer Sırakaya underlined their commitment to tackling challenges rather than seeking an easy path. Highlighting their dedication to the trust placed in them by the people, Sırakaya stated:
“We have put our lives on the line against attempted coups and terrorist organisations. We have told elitist mentalities and centres of tutelage, ‘Enough is enough.’ We have fiercely defended our democracy. Together with our people, we stood firm against those who sought to manipulate the will of the nation. We have always believed that a higher destiny lies above all destinies. We did not give any opportunity to coup plotters, those devoid of morality, or those who sold their souls for a single dollar. We have never broken our bond with our people.
Once again, we bear our titles and position for the vision of a greater Turkiye.”
Our position is clear in this war between a civilisation based on brutality and a civilisation based on unity.
Sırakaya further highlighted the ongoing global struggle concerning humanity and civilisation, stating:
“On one side, we see that there is a culture of brutality, and on the other, there is a clear culture to create unity. This is clear with the number of people being forced to migrate multiplying many times over.
Today, in Gaza and Lebanon, we are witnessing genocide and occupation. More than 43,000 people, including 17,000 children, have been killed.”
“Our journey is not one that spans just a year it is a path aimed at shaping the next thousand years.”
Sırakaya also emphasised the unity and camaraderie reinforced at every AK Party congress and continued to state:
“In AK Party, you will never hear the word ‘I.’ It is not a political party driven by personal struggles or ambitions. In AK Party, the essence is not about being forced to or assigned to a role but about volunteering. To achieve an idea and an ideal, one must take steps forward and continue to progress.
For our visions of 2053 and 2073, we will once again begin with ‘Bismillah.’
We are the people of a one-thousand-year long journey, not just a year-long one. We walk this path with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, whose strength comes from the people of Turkiye. In our hearts, we carry a sense of brotherhood and a love that encompasses all 85 million citizens. We will work tirelessly to touch every heart and bring the Century of Turkey to life.”
