Zafer Sırakaya: “Under the Leadership of Our President, Türkiye Will Steadily Continue Its Efforts to Uphold Justice, Peace, and Human Dignity”

AK Parti Vice Chairman Zafer Sırakaya stated, “Under the leadership of our President, our country will resolutely continue its efforts to uphold justice, peace, and human dignity on a global scale.”

Speaking at the 16^th Traditional Iftar Dinner, held at AK Parti’s Conference Hall, Sırakaya expressed his hope that the blessed month of Ramadan would bring peace and harmony to Türkiye, the Islamic world, and the wider international community.

Reflecting on last year’s Ramadan, which was marked by the tragic events in Gaza, Sırakaya recalled that despite all international efforts over the past year, Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people has not been prevented.

He emphasised that they would continue to exert every possible diplomatic effort until a just resolution is achieved.

“Türkiye pursues a diplomatic approach that promotes peace and security.”

Sırakaya also stated that: “We are deeply concerned by the use of international platforms to spread racism, discrimination, intolerance, islamophobia, and hatred”

Sırakaya expressed his deep concern over the increasing use of international platforms to spread racism, discrimination, intolerance, hatred toward Islam, and hate, stating:

“The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights’ report, published last year, revealed that nearly 60% of Muslims living in the EU have experienced discrimination for multiple reasons. It is deeply troubling that half of the Muslim population in the EU has been subjected to racism and hate crimes.

The challenges we face today necessitate a firm commitment to universal, rules-based values, the defence of shared principles, and the unity and solidarity of the human family.

Under President Erdoğan’s vision for the ‘Century of Türkiye’, Türkiye approaches all regional and international issues with a responsible, human-centred, conscientious, and principled stance. It pursues a diplomatic approach that fosters peace, stability, harmony, and security both in its region and beyond.”

Sırakaya further emphasised Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to utilising its expanding diplomatic capabilities in conflict and crisis zones over the past two decades, from Ukraine to Gaza and Somalia to Ethiopia, stating:

“Despite the challenges we face, Türkiye remains resolute in leading efforts to find solutions to ongoing crises. At a time when international organisations are being hollowed out and rendered ineffective, Türkiye, under the leadership of our President, continues to contribute to regional and global prosperity and stability.”

“Inter-Party Diplomacy”

Sırakaya stated that, as AK Parti’s Chairman of Foreign Affairs, they have signed Memorandums of Understanding with 16 political parties from various continents, laying a strong foundation for political dialogue and inter-party diplomacy.

He emphasised that these agreements not only strengthen bilateral cooperation between nations but also contribute to the development of effective joint policies to address global challenges such as climate change, global warming, irregular migration, and terrorism.

Sırakaya, emphasised the importance of AK Parti’s representatives’ office and continued:

“The establishment of AK Parti representative offices in different parts of the world reflects both our commitment to global cooperation and our dedication to supporting our citizens abroad. As the AK Parti Chairman of Foreign Affairs, we will continue our efforts with the same determination to promote global peace, enhance Türkiye’s international influence, and empower our diaspora.
