“As representatives of a state with no stain of racism in its history, we will continue our steadfast efforts and fight against racism and Islamophobia, these are malicious threats that lay landmines beneath the foundations of humanity.”

Pointing out that humanity is a single race, Zafer Sırakaya stated:
“Among the most beautiful and distinctive qualities of humanity are those shaped by our geographical origins and genetic diversity. By classifying these differences into different categories and deeming one human superior to another is pure bigotry.
The most convenient tool for an exploitative system is racism.”
Further stating that “racism is used as a cover to legitimise massacres and genocides carried out under various ploys, a convenient excuse to justify oppression” coupled with this he emphasised “according to our faith and the values embedded in our society, all communities, regardless of race, colour, religion, or belief are composed of what we call The Noble Human.”
Zafer Sırakaya pointed out that particularly in recent times, across Europe, we are sadly witnessing a significant rise in hate crimes and racist acts whilst also mentioning the growing influence in Europe for far-right political ideologies. Emphasising that these pose a serious threat to democratic values, social cohesion, and the ability of diverse cultures and communities to coexist peacefully.
To avoid the consequences of such a threat, it is of great importance to prevent these far-right ideologies fuelling public fear and anger through anti-migration, anti-immigrant and nationalist rhetorics.
“The #21MarchInternationalDayforEliminationofRacialDiscrimination, must not just remain as a symbol, true to its name it should serve as a foundation for the urgent and collective action of international measure.
We are fully aware that the rise in xenophobic, racist, and Islamophobic discourse and the action across Europe is causing deep concern among the Turkish communities abroad.
As representatives of a state tradition that, despite having ruled across three continents and seven different climates for centuries, it bears no stain of racism in its history, we will continue our fight, without pause, against racism, Islamophobia, and other malicious ideologies that plant seeds of destruction beneath humanity.”
