AK Party Vice Chairman and Head of Foreign Affairs Zafer Sırakaya celebrates the 41^st anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In a message shared on his social media account, Zafer Sırakaya marked the 41st anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with the following statement:

“The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, not a ‘lesser’ land but an indispensable part of the motherland, celebrating its 41st anniversary today. I extend my heartfelt congratulations on this special occasion. On this important day, I pay my tribute with prayers and gratitude to our revered martyrs and heroic veterans who gave their lives and stood shoulder to shoulder for the independence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

I would like to emphasise once again that Turkiye, is a guarantor state, and will continue to stand by our national cause of Northern Cyprus and defend the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriots on all international platforms, as it has always done in the past.

Sharing the joy and pride of independence with our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters, whom we consider an inseparable part of the Turkish nation, I extend my congratulations to all Turkish Cypriots on this day of honour, particularly to President Ersin Tatar.”
