The greatest strength of a nation is not its tanks or guns, but its faithful and devoted citizens.

The 6th Ordinary District Congress, held in İlkadım was presented under the slogan of “The Name of Hope, Action, and the Future: AK Party,” was attended by prominent figures, including AK Party Vice Chairman and Head of Foreign Affairs Zafer Sırakaya; AK Party Vice Chairman and Head of Local Governments and Member of Parliament for Samsun Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz, Member of Parliament for Samsun Orhan Kırcalı and Ersan Aksu, Vice Deputy Chairman for AK Party and former Member of Parliament for Samsun Fuat Köktaş, Provincial Chairman Mehmet Köse, Mayor Halit Doğan, district heads, district mayors, former Members of Parliament, Presidents of women’s and youth branches for the region, political party representatives, municipal council members, neighbourhood heads, delegates and representatives from civil society organisations, chambers, associations, and AK party members.
In his speech, AK Party Vice Chairman and Head of Foreign Affairs Zafer Sırakaya emphasised that the greatest source of hope and assurance on the path to the “Century of Turkey” lies in AK Party organisations.
He stated:
“We have always said this, and I will say it again: The greatest strength of a nation is not its tanks, cannons, or guns. It is its faithful and devoted children.”
Terror is at our doorstep.
Referring to regional threats, Sırakaya highlighted the importance of Turkiye’s proactive stance:
“Those who once questioned why Turkiye is involved in Syria or Lebanon were clearly suffering from a lapse in judgment or were parroting ideas. Today, we understand this more clearly.
The distance from Hatay’s Yayladağı district, at the Syrian border, to the Lebanese border is only 170 kilometres. Turkiye is just two-and-a-half-hour car journey away from the Lebanon border. The distance between Antakya and Gaza is comparable to the distance between Ankara and Aydın. In other words, occupation, terror, and aggression are right at our doorstep.
Our stance remains firm and unwavering, as articulated by Necip Fazıl:
‘Either bow to Allah and no one else, or bow to everyone and nothing at all.’
We know that remaining neutral in the face of oppression is dishonourable, and with Allah’s permission, we will continue to stand against injustice.”
